WHO WE ARE

Papersaverz is a new organization that has one goal and one goal only; stop the useless waste of paper in our society. Our first initiative is to create online petitions to send to the top retailers to give customers the choice of whether or not they want a receipt after a purchase. Our goal is to gain a large online following with signatures and petition the large retailers then create campaigns throughout the country where we can help you and other activists present opportunities to local retailers to stop wasting paper. Please sign the petition by clicking here.

Do you really need a receipt for that coke? How often do receipts get crumpled up and lost? How often are they thrown away or even littered?

We should have the right to choose whether or not we want the company to print out our receipt. Our organization will work together with companies to create solutions that will set up infrastructures to replace receipts and online solutions so we, the consumer has proof of our purchases so no one looses out. Companies will save money by not printing out more paper and we can save millions of trees by just saying no we don’t need a receipt it is not necessary to print one out.

We at Papersaverz.org do recognize that there are a number of companies already doing their part by giving the customer the option of whether or not they would like a receipt at the end of the transaction. A number of convenience stores in the San Diego, CA area like 7-11 practice this eco-friendly method, and we are thrilled by it!

All it takes is your voice and help. Please help by spreading the word and being active. We are looking for regional volunteers and they can help by contacting us at papersavers@gmail.com.

We do not want to work with paper petitions and appreciate every ones support of this cause. We can shape the way that retail companies operate and stop the wasteful practices that they have kept in place for so long.

And as the comedian, Mitch Hedberg, once said, “I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut… I don’t need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don’t need to bring ink and paper into this.”
